  12. I always hate to be the one who points out something that I perceive to
  13. be negative... but...
  14.  
  15. Am I the only one who has noticed a lack of new information on the
  16. Amiga Technologies Home Page for well over a month?
  17.  
  18. I would like to think that AT would have people (working for AT or not)
  19. that would at least on a weekly basis make sure that their loyal customers
  20. are getting some sort of updated news and insights, et al, on the happenings
  21. with the Amiga.

  23. Honestly, they are working hard on this, so I am not *mad*, just disappointed
  24. a little I guess.  I have a feeling that the silence on the new Amiga in
  25. March may be due to 1 of 2 things.

  27.  1)  It is really going to be no more improved that a faster CPU and 2 Fast-
  28.      RAM slots.  While nice, its not enough.  We are behind the times.

  30.  2)  They still have a 'surprise' for us in March and there will be more than
  31.      the above in the new Amigas.  My hope would be for a re-worked Paula
  32.      chip that would allow for true double speed High Density floppy access,
  33.      as well as improved audio, etc.  Faster chip RAM would be nice too.

  35. While I hope the 2nd is the case (I can understand the silence if so), I also
  36. fear that the first could be.

  38. Hey AT, if you haven't yet done so, getting a new audio standard going PRIOR
  39. to the PowerAmiga coming out would be a great idea as it would give you time
  40. to get more familiar with the chips or whatever else that you use and maybe
  41. be able to impliment it even better in the PowerAmiga.  Besides, it would be
  42. a dream come true for many Amiga owners to have true 16-bit audio (even if
  43. trough the same 4 voices, however 8 or 16 would be better).

  45. Okay, I've said my piece.  Let whatever will come of it come already!  ;)
